A Survival Performance - Site specific project
Can we believe in a future for humanity? Many global changes in recent years can also be described as worldwide environmental sins, crimes against humanity (often in the name of religion) or moral distortions. And these have a serious impact on people who were born around the year 2000 and will still be alive in 2050 or 2070. The YOUTOPIA theater project brings together young people of different origins, worldviews, skin colors, denominations and with different physical and mental abilities as well as professional actors and dancers. In a scenic-musical performance at venues around Neumarkt, they develop utopian ideas of a possible future and give artistic, theatrical expression to their wishes, values and visions. Touching and thought-provoking, absurd and well thought-out, erratic and cautious, provocative and surprising, but always personal.
