Reiki

Reiki is a complementary  therapy, a type of energy healing. The word Reiki  comes from the Japanese words “rei,” meaning universal, and “ki,” meaning life energy. Reiki works through the transfer of universal energy from the practitioner’s palms to the client. Energy can stagnate in the body through physical injuries or emotional pain. In time, these energy blocks can cause illness and Reiki sessions can help the energy to flow back naturally through the body. Assisting the body’s natural healing processes, Reiki can enable and improve relaxation, pain relief, speed healing and reduces other symptoms of illness.

The techniques that Reiki involves are:

Centering

Clearing

Beaming

Extracting harmful energies

Smoothing and raking the aura.

Sound therapy

Sound healing is an ancient practice that harnesses the power of sound vibrations to promote healing and relaxation. Sound vibrations affect us on a neurological, physiological, and biochemical level. There are many different techniques and instruments used for Sound healing and the sessions can be individual or in a group. A sound healing session involves lying down in a cozy and comfortable setting, closing our eyes, focusing on the sounds made by the instruments, in a sort of meditation mod. Sound vibrations have a pretty powerful effect on our minds and bodies. Research shows us that sound healing can slow down our brain waves and put our bodies in a dreamlike state. It may also be able to help with certain physical and mental health conditions. My main instruments are Tuning forks, but I also use a gong and tibetan bells.

Treatments combination

I often combine Reiki and Sound healing, often introducing some basic Shiatsu or traditional massage techniques.
